    All ages are welcome, with fun for the whole family! Children’s tickets are available for ages 3–9, and children under 2 are free.

    • Mondays 12pm–8pm
    • Open Select Tuesdays and Wednesdays
    • Thursdays 12pm–8pm
    • Fridays 12pm–10pm
    • Saturdays 10am–10pm
    • Sundays 10am–8pm

GENERAL

WHAT ARE THE OPERATING HOURS OF THE EXPERIENCE?
Harry Potter™: Magic at Play will be arriving in Chicago during the fall of 2022. Tickets are on sale starting August 3rd at 10am CT. Operating hours can be found here.
WHERE IS THE EXPERIENCE LOCATED?
Water Tower Place, 835 N Michigan Avenue, Chicago, IL 60611. We are located at the corner of N Michigan Ave and E Pearson St.
WHEN DO I NEED TO ARRIVE FOR MY RESERVATION TIME?
Please arrive any time within your allotted 30-minute window. If you aren’t sure what your day’s schedule looks like, check out our Premium Flex Entry Tickets and come whenever works for you!
Tickets are valid only for the date and time purchased. If you or a member of your party is not feeling well, tickets can be adjusted to a new date and time (subject to availability). If changed prior to the date and time of the tickets. Fill out this contact form to swap times.
CAN I LEAVE THE EXPERIENCE AND RETURN?
No. Reentry into the Experience is not permitted.
DO YOU ACCEPT CASH?
We do not accept cash. We accept cashless payment in the forms of credit and debit cards.
DO YOU OFFER COAT/STROLLER CHECK?
You may check your coats, bags or strollers for $3 per item. Single strollers are also allowed inside, but please note all items are subject to search upon entry.
IS PHOTOGRAPHY AND VIDEO ALLOWED?
You're encouraged to take photos and videos throughout the space! Remember to share your photos on social media with #HPMagicAtPlay so we can see them!
ARE FOOD AND DRINKS ALLOWED INSIDE THE EXPERIENCE?
No food or drink allowed. Resealable bottles of water are always welcome.
ARE PETS ALLOWED IN THE EXPERIENCE?
We love your fluffy friends, however pets and emotional support animals are not permitted inside. Service animals are welcome.

WILL FOOD AND BEVERAGE BE AVAILABLE?
Yes, licensed Butterbeer™ and small bites will be available for purchase, inclusive of vegan and gluten-free options. Available to the public! Please note, no outside food and drink allowed.

TICKETS

WHERE DO I BUY TICKETS?
Tickets are available here. A limited amount of standby tickets will also be available for purchase at the door (subject to availability).
HOW MUCH ARE TICKETS?
Standard tickets start at just $37.50 for guests ages 10 and up, and passes for children ages 3-9 start at $29.50 plus taxes and fees. Price may fluctuate around in-demand or "peak" times and dates
IS THERE A TICKET PURCHASE LIMIT?
No, but orders are limited to maximum amount of people who can visit the experience in a given time slot. For groups larger than 25, please email info@HarryPotterMagicAtPlay.com for assistance.
CAN I REFUND OR EXCHANGE MY TICKET? ARE TICKETS TRANSFERABLE?
Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable. If you or a member of your party is not feeling well, tickets can be adjusted to a new date and time (subject to availability) if changed prior to the date and time of the tickets. Fill out this contact form.
ARE TICKETS AVAILABLE AT THE DOOR?
Limited standby tickets are available at the door (subject to availability). Guests with pre-purchased tickets have priority, so we recommend buying tickets online in advance. Tickets purchased at the door will be priced at the regular peak ticket price level and include an additional fee.
DO YOU HAVE GIFT CARDS?
We do not have gift cards available.
WHAT IF I BOUGHT MY TICKET FOR THE WRONG DATE OR TIME?
Tickets can be adjusted to a new date and time (subject to availability) if changed prior to the date and time of the tickets. Fill out this contact form or visit the Help section of the Fever app for assistance.
DO I NEED TO PRINT MY TICKET?
We can scan your ticket directly from your mobile device, so please save the paper and ink and don't print your ticket unless you have to.
ARE THERE DISCOUNTS FOR CHILDREN?
Children (2) years of age and under get in free; guests over the age of three (3) will need a ticket.

TRANSPORTATION

WHAT IS THE BEST WAY TO GET TO THE EXPERIENCE?
Public transit or ride share is the best way to visit. We are located approximately four blocks from the Chicago Red Line Station.

PRIVATE EVENTS

IS THE SPACE AVAILABLE FOR CORPORATE EVENTS?
Yes - our space is a unique and fun place for your next corporate event! Event pricing starts at $10K. If you are interested please email events@HarryPotterMagicAtPlay.com and a member of our team will get back to you shortly.
CAN I HOST A PARTY OR GROUP AT THE EXPERIENCE?
For groups of 25 or more or for additional information about hosting parties at the experience, please email info@HarryPotterMagicAtPlay.com and a member of our guest services team will be back to you in about 3 business days.
WHAT HEALTH AND SAFETY MEASURES SHOULD I EXPECT WHEN I VISIT HARRY POTTER™: MAGIC AT PLAY?
The health and safety of our Guests and Team Members is our number one priority, so we've put standards in place that will keep you, your friends & family, and our staff safe and worry-free.
  • Ongoing cleaning of all surfaces
  • Masks recommended
  • Hand sanitizing stations and disinfecting wipes throughout the experience
  • If a group member is sick, we encourage your entire group to reschedule

IF I HAVE EXPERIENCED SYMPTOMS OF COVID-19 IN THE PAST 10 DAYS SHOULD I STILL ATTEND HARRY POTTER™: MAGIC AT PLAY?
Guests who have tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 5 days should not attend Harry Potter™: Magic at Play. Please reach out to us at info@HarryPotterMagicAtPlay.com and our team will work with you to reschedule your visit.
WHAT HAPPENS IF COVID FORCES THE CLOSURE OF THE EXPERIENCE?
While we are taking every precaution to ensure the health and safety of our Guests and Team, events outside of our control may force the closure of Harry Potter™: Magic at Play. If so, we will reschedule any Guest tickets impacted to a new time and date.
Does HARRY POTTER™: MAGIC AT PLAY have a code of conduct?
Providing a safe and fun environment for guests is our number one priority. All guests must adhere to our Experience Code of Conduct below.
  • Profanity, abusive language and unruly behavior are not permitted
  • Sharp objects, weapons, and illegal contraband are not permitted on premises
  • If you are late or need to reschedule your ticket to another time/date, there is a standby line; if an opening becomes available, we will allow entry on a first-come, first-served basis. Entry is not guaranteed.
  • We reserve the right to inspect all packages, bags, backpacks, purses, fanny packs or any other container on the premise
  • Line jumping is prohibited. Guests who line jump will not be allowed to access the attraction or retail store
  • Guests are required to wear shirts, pants, shoes and face masks
  • Guests should not enter if they have a temperature over 100.4oF
  • Smoking and vaping is prohibited
  • No outside food or drink is permitted. Water bottles and reusable water bottles with a cap that can be sealed are welcome.
